How to use WhatsApp Web on Desktop PC/Laptop

Way to use WhatsApp Web

To launch the application (WhatsApp Web), click on its URL in Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, Edge, and scan for the QR code on the page using WhatsApp mobile app from your phone. It will launch WhatsApp Web automatically within the browser and remains active until you sign off on your phone or computer.

To link WhatsApp Web together with your mobile app, go to the WhatsApp website.

Launch WhatsApp on your Android mobile or iPhone.

Scan the QR code on the site with your phone camera will open WhatsApp on your phone.

Tap Settings on the iPhone > WhatsApp Web/Desktop.

On Scan QR code, tap and hold your phone up to the code to pair it.

Tap on the 3 small dots at the top right from the Chat panel on Android phones.

On WhatsApp Web tap and scan for the QR code.

Your smartphone account will then linked to the desktop version of the app.

From there, you’ll send and receive messages from your computer’s desktop browser.

Features of WhatsApp Web

After scanning the QR code, you’ll view your WhatsApp chat list directly on the online page. You’ll see your chats on the left by clicking a contact to open the chat and your message history if you saved it.

On the top left of the desktop page, three icons are available: Status, New chat, and Menu, which offers further nested options.

The Status option shows all statuses posted by your contacts along with the ability to reply at the bottom of the pane from the reply area. It opens the contacts list on the left side of the page by clicking on the new chat button.

From here, you’ll create a replacement group or begin a conversation. The three-dot menu allows you to create a replacement group, change your profile knowledge, view starred messages, search archived chats, change settings like notifications and chat wallpaper, or sign off.

Sending messages options

WhatsApp Web is as easy to use because of the mobile app, and therefore the interface will look very familiar. To send a message from your desktop PC, click on an existing chat or click on the New chat icon, and choose the contact you would like to interact with.
